This notice covers cookies and any comparable technology that stores or reads information on your device — including your browser’s local storage, which is what this site actually uses to remember your choice.
The rule we follow is simple: nothing beyond what is strictly necessary runs before you have made a choice, and refusing is exactly as easy as accepting.
No analytics technology and no marketing technology is currently active on this website. Nothing measures your visit, and nothing is used to build an advertising profile. Analytics are switched off in configuration as well as by consent, so there are two independent reasons nothing runs.
The categories described below therefore include capabilities that are available but unused. They are documented so that this notice stays accurate if any of them is ever switched on — at which point the version number at the top of this page will change.
Consent is organised into four categories. Only the first is always on. The other three are off unless you switch them on, and switching them off again takes one click.

Your choice is written to your browser’s local storage under the key pw.consent.v1 (record version 1). It is deliberately not stored in a cookie: a cookie would be transmitted to our server with every single request, and there is no reason for your preference to travel anywhere.
The stored record holds three things:
It contains no name, no email address and no identifier for you. It stays on your device until you change it, withdraw it, or clear your browser storage.
You can change your choice at any time, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Opening the settings below lets you switch individual categories on or off, accept everything, reject everything non-essential, or withdraw your decision entirely so you are asked again.

Independently of the settings on this site, your browser can block or delete cookies and clear site storage. Blocking strictly necessary storage may stop parts of the site working — for example, we would no longer be able to remember that you had already made a cookie choice, so you would be asked again on every visit.
